Damian Smith
Damian studied Painting and Printmaking at Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds. After graduating in 2002, he began working as a digital artist, primarily using MS-Paint. Alongside this he has developed photographic manipulation to create kaleidoscopic works.
These kaleidoscopic works are created from images taken on Damian's travels throughout Great Britain and Japan.
"I am inspired by colour, light and reality. I capture scenes as naturally as possible, then take the best elements away to work with. When a scene takes my attention I often take hundreds of photos, discarding all but a few, sometimes only one will have that special aspect within it."
